Bloomberg happily schmoozed with Dina Merrill—were they comparing fortunes?—and the place was abuzz with Oscar dish as wide-screen TVs blared in the upstairs dining room. But when Halle Berry gave her acceptance speech, the entire audience went silent. Looks like Halle had just as much support from fellow actors on the East Coast.
