The hot New York social crowd was dressed to tango at the Frick Collection’s ultra-exclusive Young Fellows Ball, “Tango and Tapas,” which raised $275,000 to benefit the museum’s education programs.
The 700-plus crowd filled the Entrance Hall, Garden Court, and Music Room, decorated with rich red textiles, exotic fruit topiaries, urns brimming with red roses, and cathedral candles. The pièce de résistance: Goya’s Last Works was on view in the special exhibition galleries. Gala-goers tangoed to the tunes of deejay Tom Finn and dined on Spanish-inspired cuisine.
The occasion was chaired by Lauren Davis, Tinsley Mortimer, Emilia Fanjul Pfeifler, legendary designer Vera Wang, Lauren du Pont, Victoria Traina, Marina Rust Connor, Elisabeth Saint-Armand, Nathalie Gerschel Kaplan, Aerin Lauder Zinterhofer, and Martha Loring, and co-sponsored by Harry Winston, Vera Wang, Thornwillow Press Ltd., Moët Hennessy USA, and Town & Country.
Also on hand and hot to trot: Mark Gilbertson, Victoria Ashley, Alexandra Lind Rose, Bronson Van Wyck, Annelise Peterson, Celerie Kemble, and Debbie Bancroft.
Everyone’s dance cards were full!
