An outdoor dinner at the Pink Elephant and the Capri hotel in Southampton honoring socialite Patty Raynes was hosted by fashion designers Douglas Hannant and Frederick Anderson. New York’s social elite straggled in throughout the evening, eagerly heading for HRH Catering’s buffet barbeque of roast grilled shrimp and chicken, bruschetta, caprese salad, and mussels in white wine sauce, and sampling very beachworthy caipirinhas provided by Beleza Pura. Patty, her sons Nick and Matthew, and their many friends stayed well into the evening, enjoying the club’s cabana-style outdoor lounge and toasting the guest of honor from the signature beds and couches that have come to be identified with casual Hamptons elegance.
