The Hellenic Times Scholarship Fund (HTSF) hosted its 13th annual gala, “The Masquerade Ball,” at the Marriott Marquis, chaired by HTSF President Nick Katsoris and John and Margo Catsimatidis.

Entertainment Tonight’s Maria Menounos was honored with the Journalistic Achievement Humanitarian Award, CSI: Miami’s Sofia Milos received the Artistic Achievement Humanitarian Award, and Atlantic Bank’s Chairman and CEO Thomas O’Brien was given the Corporate Leadership Humanitarian Award.

Also in the crowd: past honorees Ernie Anastos and John (father of Jennifer) Aniston; Catherine Boura, New York Consul General of Greece; Martha Mavromatis, New York Consul General of Cyprus; Manhattan DA Robert Morgenthau; Dennis and Karen Mehiel; Curtis Sliwa; Rep. Carolyn Maloney; Spiros and Antonia Milonas; Tom and Janet Constance; Rodolfo (“Hairdresser to the Stars”) Valentin; and Frederick Selby.

Confetti and balloons dropped from the ceiling, and over 1,200 guests were given masks, hats, blowers, fake jewelry, and funky dark shades. In true Greek celebratory style, guests danced into the wee hours of the morning to the music of the fab pop group ONE, who traveled from Greece to perform. One might have thought it was New Year’s Eve, the way the Greeks partied the night away!
