Even torrential rains couldn’t dampen high-society spirits at the Conservatory Ball at the New York Botanical Gardens in the Bronx. Friederike Biggs, Jeanne Jones, Mai and Ridgely Harrison, Honore Wamsler, Muffie Potter Aston, Audrey Gruss, Joanne and Roberto de Guardiola, Paul and Jo Hallingby, Aerin Lauder, Jonathan Farkas and Somers White, and Barbara and Donald Tober made the best of stormy weather under an elegant tent with décor by Ronaldo Maia, music by Bob Hardwick, and catering by Glorious Food. Guests also soaked up cocktails in the Peggy Rockefeller Rose Garden—named the best public rose garden in America! Proceeds from the ball help “water” the Gardens’ programs in botanical science, horticulture, and education.
