Over 600 New Yorkers congregated under a huge tent on East 73rd Street for the block party of the year, Fete de Swifty. This year's food fest, the brainchild of gossip extraordinaire Liz Smith (an annual host) and Robert Caravaggi (co-owner of Swifty's restaurant with Chef Stephen Attoe), benefited the NYC Dept. of Parks and Recreation's After School Program of the Mayor's Fund.

The tent was packed with stilt walkers, photo booths, a silent auction, and plenty of delectable Swifty's fare, which included: roast turkey, jumbo shrimp, oysters and clams on the half shell, and smooth cheeses.

Among the nibblers: Peter Rogers, Terry Allen Kramer, George and Marianna Kaufman, Chappy Morris, Barbara Goldsmith, Joan Helpern, Anne Rapp, Deborah Norville, Dominick Dunne, Michael Gross, Debbie Bancroft, Countess Dagmar de Brantes, Tiffany Dubin, Mildred Brinn, Alfred Taubman, CeCe Cord, Carl and Sabrina Forsythe, Anne Slater, and Daisy Soros. Who knew a block party could be oh-so chic?
