New York’s female Power Pack—not to mention some heavy-hitting gents—converged at the Rainbow Room for the yearly Power Lunch for Women that benefits Citymeals-on-Wheels. Kathleen Turner, Gloria Steinem, and Paula Zahn were honorary co-chairs at the event, which included Gael Greene, Jane Pauley, Donna Hanover, Bobbi Brown, Mary and Carol Higgins Clark, Diana Taylor, Christine Baranski, Jeanine Pirro, Deni Frand, Joan and Bob Tisch, Barbara Tober, Penny Glazier, April Gornick, Barbara Taylor Bradford, and Nina Zagat. Of Citymeals’ homebound recipients, Zahn said, “They need simple human contact, which they sometimes yearn for more than a meal.” The power parade fetched $780,000!
