A Jack & Jill bridal shower on the flowering patio of the stylish Metropolitan Café turned a sunny fall afternoon into a spring garden party on the Seine. I tossed the shower in honor of my daughter Sheri Jedell and fiancé Scott Weiner, as their close pals sipped Mimosas and Bloody Marys while sharing tales and hilariously roasting the future bride and groom. The fare featured bagels and cream cheese, scrambled eggs, home fries and bacon, smoked Atlantic salmon, brioche French toast with strawberry compote, and Grecian chicken Caesar salad. Topping it off: fresh fruit salad, assorted cookies, and chocolate ganache cake with whipped cream...Yum!
