What do you get when you mix white ties and tails, couture gowns, Mar-a-Lago, and the Red Cross? The 50th Annual International Red Cross Ball, one of the most highly anticipated social events of the season!

The scene was set with true elegance: tables accented by Battenberg lace overlays, six-foot gold candelabras, red floral arrangements, and wall-to-wall white carpeting, accompanied by the sweet sounds of the Peter Duchin Orchestra.

Chairs Nancy Ellison and Bill Rollnick celebrated the grande dames of the ball: Marjorie Merriweather Post (with daughter Dina Merrill and assistant May Bell Lin, who were given awards in Post's honor), Sue Whitmore, and a star-studded head table that included Pierce Brosnan and his son Sean, and Donald, Melania, and Ivanka Trump.
