Dame Julie Andrews, Dame Celia Lipton Farris, Patrick Park

Julie Andrews was the honored guest at the American Cancer Society's ball, held at the elegant Mar-a-Lago Club.

An early champagne reception kicked off the evening, welcoming chairs Dame Celia Lipton Farris (who gave a heartfelt welcome to Andrews, her friend and fellow Brit), Patrick Park, and Diana Ecclestone. Following the reception, a lavish pre-ball cocktail hour was held, featuring a 40-piece orchestra surrounding the swimming pool, plenty of Russian caviar, Trump vodka, and flowing French champagne.

Over a sumptuous dinner, the Masterworks Chorus of the Palm Beaches performed three arrangements from The Sound of Music, one of the films that made Andrews a legend. To top off the evening, a dazzling diamond watch provided by Chopard was given away in a grand-prize drawing.

Among the glitterati: Michele and Howard Kessler, Gloria Wolosoff, Sydell Miller, Norma and Simon Fireman, Sally and Dick Robinson, Anne and George Lichtblau, Elizabeth and Jeff Bateman, Julie and Rob Reveley, Mary and Bob Montgomery, and Ruth and Ed Hennessey.

The event raised $2 mil for the cause.
