Melissa Etheridge rocked the house at Cipriani 42nd Street, where an outstanding mix of celebs and fashion designers lent their support for NYC's children. Jerry and Jessica Seinfeld, Lenny Kravitz, Oscar de la Renta, and Anna Wintour were just a few of the VIPs at the "Fall Evening Gala" for New Yorkers for Children (the organization provides support for families assisted by the Administration For Children's Services).

Mayor Mike Bloomberg honored hip-hop impresario Russell Simmons and Marian Wright Edelman, founder and CEO of the Children's Defense Fund, with the Business Leadership award.

In the throng: Jay and Kelly Sugarman, Craig Huff, Susan Burden, Scott and Donya Bommer, Diane von Furstenberg, Dan Stern, Eric Scoppetta, Nicolas Scoppetta, Fiona Rudin, and Tom and Andi Bernstein.
