If it's possible to make history and conserve it at the same time, then the Olana Partnership's 2005 Governor's Parks & Preservation Award ceremony, held at the Rainbow Room, did just that. The event honored Bernadette Castro for her outstanding leadership.

Nearly 300 guests, including Martha Stewart, David Rockefeller, Charles and Bunny Koppelman, Ed Herrmann, and Jane Alexander raised over $400,000 for ongoing restoration at Olana, which now stands as an upstate New York historic treasure.
