In town to lead the Historic Night of Hope, the first non-baseball event in the new Yankee Stadium, Pastors Joel and Victoria Osteen, founders of the largest church in America, were honored at a benefit dinner held at the National Arts Club for their global humanitarian efforts. Emcee Rita Cosby joined event co-chairs Sharon Bush, Jean Shafiroff, Aldon James, Margo Langenberg, and Diane Bernhardt in expressing their gratitude for the Osteens’ work. Tomaczek Bednarek crooned “Amazing Grace” and artist Peter Max, whose works can be viewed at the new stadium, announced that he will be unveiling a portrait of the gracious pair.
