The Mandarin Oriental was the scene of a hot night, as Casita Maria held its Fiesta 2008 gala in honor of Thalia, Joana Caparros Masip, and Pepita Serrano. Event Chairs Jacqueline Weld Drake, Aileen Mehle, and H.R.H. Prince Dimitri of Yugoslavia offered a fiesta of cocktails, dinner, and dancing, and in the merry-making raised half a million dollars for the cause. Also shaking it up: John Avery, Yanna Avis, Marife Hernandez and Joel Bell, Samuel Botero, Mario Buatta, Karen and Howard Clark, Jennifer Creel, Emilia and Pepe Fanjul, Giselle Fernandez, Margo Langenberg, Mary McFadden, Jamie Figg, Audrey and Martin Gruss, Ann and Bill Nitze, Hilary and Wilbur Ross, Daisy and Paul Soros, Christine and Steve Schwarzman, Tommy Mottola, Patricia Lansing, and Adrienne and Gianluigi Vittadini.
