Head-patting and crunchy treats accompanied back-slapping and hors d’oeuvres at the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Humane Awards Luncheon. Chuck Scar­borough emceed an afternoon at The Rainbow Room, sponsored by the Hart­ville Group, that recognized special animals and those individuals who have dedicated themselves to the welfare of their fellow creatures.

Attendees supporting the ASPCA mission included Ann Ames, Stephanie Krieger, Alison Aston, Mark Gilbertson, Melanie Holland, Fernanda Kellogg, Adam Mahr, Chris Edgar, Deborah and Terry Burns, Jimmy and Margo Nederlander, Charlene Neder­lander, Somers and Jonathan Farkas, and Cynthia and Dan Luf­kin—a few of the closest friends of man’s best friend.
