The sporting event that epitomizes a quintessential summer afternoon in the Hamptons returned with the 15th season of Bridgehampton Polo! The highly anticipated event took place at Two Trees Farm, and the excitement went on for six consecutive Saturdays. NBA star Kris Humphries, also known as Kim Kardashian’s hubby, kicked off the high goal polo match by throwing out the first ball during the second week. Humphries then lounged under the Blue Star Jets VIP Tent, munching on bites by chef Arthur Wolf of Turtle Crossing and Southampton Social Club, among others. Nacho Figueras, polo star and face of Ralph Lauren, high-goaler Mariano Aguerre, Tomas Garcia del Rio, Christian “Magoo” La Prida, Betsey Johnson with daughter Lulu, Russell Simmons, chef Tim Gannon, Kimora Lee Simmons with Oscar-nominated actor Djimon Hounsou, Kelly Klein, Star Jones, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Guille Aguero, Beth Ostrosky Stern, and over 500 Hamptonites took in all the thrills of the six-week polo action. Of course, there was more interest in the “action” than the horses, which were merely a backdrop for the schmooze taking place!
