John Legend laughs off Pharrell mix-up

It's hard keeping track of all the celebrities and their credits - even for Joan Jedell, the whip-smart publisher of the Hampton Sheet magazine.

At a party Saturday in Tuxedo Park - where men first took off their tails when they dressed for dinner - Jedell regaled some of the 200 guests with the story of how she sidled up to John Legend at last week's Haiti benefit and told him, "You look happy. I love your song so much. It makes me so happy."

Legend stared at her as if she were crazy and then figured it out and told her "Happy" was Pharrell's song. His monster hit is "All of Me," a love ballad to his wife Chrissy Teigen.

"He was highly amused. He was laughing," Jedell said at the 1897 Spanish colonial mansion of Peter and Barbara Regna, where gorgeous go-go girls in bikinis danced in the foyer and splashed in the fountain.
