UNICEF Ambassador Sir Roger Moore, Sean Hepburn Ferrer

The UNICEF Snowflake Ball created a flurry of activity over at the Waldorf as guests drifted in to salute Goodwill Ambassador Sir Roger Moore, recipient of the organization’s Audrey Hepburn Humanitarian Award (named for the late legendary and much-beloved actress and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador). This first annual event was emceed by Bryant Gumbel (of HBO’s Real Sports) and presented by Baccarat. Pfizer also received the Corporate Philanthropy Award for its efforts to aid children in the developing world.

In the wintry mix: Town & Country‘s Pamela Fiori (founding chair of the UNICEF Snowflake Project); co-chairs Fiona Druckenmiller, Charlotte Moss, and Nadja Swarovski; UNICEF Ambassadors Annette and Matt Lauer; Sean Hepburn Ferrer (Audrey’s son and honorary project chair); Bianca Jagger; Al Roker; Susan Keith; Cary Elwes; James Kiberd; Claudia Cohen; Aaron Basha; Dan Abrams; society furrier David Goodman; and Salman Rushdie (with wife, Indian actress Padma Lakshmi). The philanthropic generosity and blizzard of goodwill warmed the hearts of everyone in the frosted room!
