Diamonds were the backdrop for the cocktail reception at the Worth Ave. location of Graff Jewels in Palm Beach, kicking off the Norton Museum of Art’s Bal des Arts 2005: “A Voyage to Valencia.” This year’s theme was inspired by the extraordinary exhibition, “Spain in the Age of Exploration, 1492-1819,” a collection of paintings, sculptures, and memorabilia from the age of Columbus.
Graff hosts Henri Barguirdjian and Craig Miller spotlighted their signature yellow and white diamonds, a mixed-stone lariat necklace, and head-turning 22- and 34-carat rings. The high-end jewelers are the source of the 12-carat flawless stone presented by Donald Trump to then fiancée (since married) Melania Knauss. Appraising the eye candy: Robert and Sandy Krakoff, Anne and Harold Smith, Kenn Karakul, Phyllis Krock, Ellen and Bob Jaffe, Andrea Stark, Don and Nancy Carter, Petra and Stephen Levin, U.S. Rep. Mark Foley, Christina Orr-Cahall, and Diana Salandra. It was a dazzling show… of support, that is!
