Antique collectors and appreciators alike packed the Seventh Regiment Armory to celebrate the opening of the Winter Antiques Show, which benefits the East Side House Settlement in the South Bronx. Over 74 dealers displayed rare pieces — including furniture, paintings, books, china, and jewelry — from experts in American, English, European, and Asian fine and decorative arts.
Sipping cocktails and browsing the booths at the ELLE Décor-sponsored soiree: Editor in Chief Margaret Russell, Mayor Bloomberg, Ivana Trump, Oscar de la Renta, Leonard and Evelyn Lauder, CeCe Cord, Marina Rust Connor, Jamee Gregory, Amy Fine Collins, Michele and Edwin Sayres, Eliza Reed Bolen, Fernanda Kellogg, Nina Griscom, Susan Fales-Hill, Margo Langenberg, Debbie Bancroft, Arie and Coco Kopelman, Douglas Hannant, and Cynthia Lufkin. Conspicuously absent were the Show’s Honorary Chairs, Gov. George and Libby Pataki, who were at President George W. Bush’s inauguration. Talk about tradition!
