NYC auto owners and aficionados revved up for the East Side House Settlement Gala Preview of the New York International Auto Show at the Jacob Javits Center. The event drew a driven crowd of 1,600 and raised $1 mil.

Car enthusiasts sped through a cocktail reception and dinner, awed by the high-end automobiles and high-flying aerial performers from AntiGravity. Brad Michaelson’s whopping $130,000 bid won the Maserati Gran Sport Limited Edition auctioned live by Jamie Niven of Sotheby’s. The “consolation prize” for those outbid was the private exhibition of new and vintage Ferraris from Gruppo Ferrari Maserati, event co-sponsor (with Esquire). Mary Snow was the lucky guest to wear home the stunning raffle prize — a $21,500 Maltese Cross bracelet from Verdura, generously donated by owners Judith and Edward Landrigan.

In the fast lane: Chairs Joan Young, Phil Yang, Michael Moreno, Jon Ylvisaker, and Eleanor Lembo; Arie and Coco Kopelman; Fabian and Martina Basabe; Fabiola Beracasa; Melissa Stanley and Chappy Morris; Tinsley Mortimer; Coralie Charriol; Christina Payne; Victoria Lam; Candida Romanelli; Bill and Maryann Kolb; David Granger; Stephen Jacoby; and Harrison LeFrak. An impressive “auto body” by any standards!
