Kathy and John Flagg

The Palm Beach hot shots at “Hospice Evening 2004” enjoyed a sneak preview of Badgley Mischka’s Spring/Summer Collection — a swirl of brilliantly colored textiles awash in sequins, beads, and pearls being walked down the runway in The Breakers’ beautiful Venetian ballroom. The evening’s fashion aficionados included Kathy and John Flagg, Bob and Helen Messic, Tom and Pat McCloskey, Pat and Richard Johnson, and Saks Fifth Avenue’s Debra Koch. All proceeds benefitted Hospice of Palm Beach County, which provides premiere health-care services to individuals nearing the end of life, enhancing the quality of life for them and their families.

Since 1985, Saks of Palm Beach has organized the famous fashion-forward show, featuring style pioneers like Vera Wang, Bob Mackie, and Bill Blass. This year, Mark Badgley and James Mischka have dressed Catherine Zeta-Jones, Ashley Judd, Mira Sorvino, Jodie Foster, Cameron Diaz, and Elizabeth Hurley, and were heralded as two of America’s “Top 10 Designers” by Vogue. This quality-of-life evening left everyone feeling quite fashionably upbeat.
