Visionary businessman and humanitarian Stewart Rahr (our Rahr-star cover) was honored along with Lifetime Achievement award recipient D.A. Robert Morgenthau at the Police Athletic League’s (PAL) Annual Super­star Dinner held at The Pierre. It was a great turnout honoring the duo, and, in introducing Superstar Award recipient Rahr, Donald Trump spoke from the heart about Rahr’s philanthropy, how he loves to give back, and, of course, all about their notorious golf games—not to mention The Donald’s on-site visit to Rahr’s pharmaceutical distribution company, Kinray, where he took the tour of the facility and quipped, “I couldn’t believe all the toothpaste, mouthwash, and condoms all over the place.”

At the end of Rahr’s wonderful inspiring speech, he surprised guests, announcing a $1 mil donation to PAL.

Chairs Daniel Rose and John Catsimatidis joined emcee Regis Philbin and special surprise guest President Bill Clinton (who was invited by Rahr and had many accolades for our Rahr-star, especially after the two had a great golf game the day before) for a superb night of toasting to the city’s largest nonprofit youth organization and crime-busting crusaders.
