The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) added a little spice to its annual fundraiser at The Waldorf, this year dubbing the event the “Red Hot Pink Party.” The invitation called for “Black Tie with a touch of HOT pink,” and guests, including emcee and co-chair Elizabeth Hurley, didn’t disappoint! The Estée Lauder spokesmodel and fashion designer (with a just-launched line of swimwear) donned a pink-and-blue sari she purchased in Bombay (perhaps a nod to the Indian heritage of her fiancé, Arun Nayer). The legendary Sir Elton John and rising star Josh Groban also heated things up with an energetic performance that brought the audience to their feet.

Discussions got red-hot as guests chatted about The Fire Sale Raffle and Auction. The coveted raffle prizes included: a skincare and makeup consultation (including complimentary products) with skincare scion and BCRF Founder and Chair Evelyn Lauder (also Sr. VP of Estée Lauder Companies); a ladies’ Audemars Piguet watch from the Mini Promesse Collection; a J. Mendel mink jacket; a four-day stay at the Ocean Club in the Bahamas’ Paradise Island; a Judith Lieber alligator bag; a custom-made Sylvia Weinstock cake; and a series of 10 one-on-one pilates classes with Margaret Velez.

At the sizzling celebration: BCRF President Myra Biblowit, Mayor Mike Bloomberg, Donald and Melania Trump, Estée Lauder Companies Chairman Leonard Lauder and President and CEO (and Evelyn and Leonard’s son) William Lauder, Al Reynolds and Star Jones Reynolds, Carolyn Murphy, Deborah Norville, Ethiopian model Liya Kebede, Joanne de Guardiola, and Sir Elton’s longtime partner, David Furnish.

The pink-themed soiree left BCRF anything but in the red—BCRF has raised $100 mil since its founding in 1993.
