Jerry Della Femina and Judy Licht once again opened their magnificent oceanfront home in East Hampton for Garden Gala, the annual Body Positive fundraiser that traditionally marks the opening of the summer social season. The event, also hosted by Tina Louise, Patrick Murphy, and Dr. Buzz von Ornsteiner, raised funds for the educational and women’s programs of the AIDS service organization, whose mission is to empower people infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS in NYC.

This year’s event honored fashion designer Betsey Johnson, a proud breast cancer survivor, for her contributions to the fight against the disease and to those living with HIV/AIDS. She received the James Revson Award, named after the late Newsday columnist who initiated the event 18 years ago and hosted it until his death in 1991 from AIDS. A positively successful event….
