Lorenzo Lamas and mom, Arlene Dahl; Michael Feinstein, Joan Rivers

The very talented (not to mention sexy!) Lorenzo Lamas had his New York cabaret debut, Lorenzo Sings About Love, at Feinstein’s at the Regency—and he should know all about the subject, having been married four times and fathered six kids from two of his marriages.

The Bold and the Beautiful star moved this “tough” NY crowd to an emotional state as he crooned love songs like “Night & Day” by Cole Porter and “Embraceable You” by George and Ira Gershwin. He also spoke of his Hollywood upbringing, including his mom, the beautiful and ageless Arlene Dahl, and dad, Fernando Lamas (known for his roles as a legendary Latin lover—like father, like son). He confessed to the crowd that his father wore “tight, tight pants with no underwear when he performed”—oh baby!

In the revved audience: Marty Richards, Joan Rivers, Marc Rosen (Lorenzo’s stepfather), Rex Reed, half-sis Carole McCarthy, Michael Feinstein, and Sacha Newley (Joan Collins’s son) with wife Angela.

Guests also included crooner Deborah Gibson’s mom, Diane, who came to show her support—Lorenzo and her daughter have been dating for a couple of months now! She informed us that they met at an event in San Francisco and have been cozy ever since.

Deborah couldn’t be there for the opening because she’s starring in South Pacific in Fresno, California. But she was planning to fly in to catch Lorenzo’s show sometime before closing night.

So will Diane be Lorenzo’s fifth mother-in-law?
