There was nothing frumpy about the "Old Bags Luncheon" at the St. Regis Hotel, where used, celeb-owned designer handbags were auctioned off to benefit the Madison Square Boys & Girls Club (providing NYC's disadvantaged children with education, guidance, and recreational programs). Natalie Portman's red Hermès canvas-tote day bag and Susan Lucci's Chloé "doctor's bag" and her Prada satchel were just a few of the gems taken home at this bag bonanza. Acclaimed hand-bag designer Lana Marks also debuted her holiday collection.

WCBS-TV anchor Lynda Lopez emceed. Bagged ladies included: Beth Rudin DeWoody, Tenley Black, Wendy Carduner, Lisa Byther, Lydia Fenet, Julie Kammerer, Lisa Guest, Ann Grimm, Pamela Fiori, Patty Crawford, Victoria Kempner, Clo Cohen, Polly Onet, Colleen Quinn, and Leila Strauss. Goes to show you-there's nothing wrong with an "old bag!"
