One of the largest encyclopedic museums in the world got a boost thanks to the American Friends of the Israel Museum, which recently held its most successful Palm Beach event to date.
The evening, chaired by Andrea Stark and Lois Zelman, with honorary chairs Sylvia Olnick, Bobby and Maurie Deane, and Marlene Strauss, began with a cocktail buffet at the home of Rachel Rudin, where guests enjoyed her collection of works by emerging artists. A dessert and champagne reception followed at the elegant home of Phyllis and Bill Mack.
Guests included Judy and Ron Baron, Linda and Peter Berley, Ruthe and Heinz Eppler, Helen and Martin Kimmel, Ellen Liman, Joan and Alan Safir, Ruth and Carl Shapiro, Bonnie and Steven Stern, and Rhonda and Michael Zinner.
The artful event raised $630,000 for the museum's exhibition fund.
