A creative crowd celebrated at the "Visionaries!" Gala Benefit for the Museum of Arts & Design (MAD), held at Pier 60. The 12th annual ceremony recognized Neiman Marcus President and CEO Burton M. Tanksy, Tiffany Design Director John Loring, art collector and dealer Donna Schneier, and Columbian artist Olga de Amaral for outstanding achievements in their respective fields.

The gala was co-chaired by Jerome A. Chazen, MAD's chairman emeritus, and Barbara Tober, current chairman. With more than 700 attendees, the event raised over $1.3 mil to fund exhibitions and education sponsored by the museum-and there's more to celebrate in 2006, including the museum's new location at 2 Columbus Circle.

Notables supporting the honorees included: Marcy Carsey, Jack Lenor Larsen, Amy Fine Collins, Andrew Rosen, Stefano Ricci, Simona and Jerome Chazen, and David Yurman. Representatives of designers such as Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Donna Karan, Gucci, Hermès, Nicole Miller, Diane von Furstenberg, and Prada were also present.

The glittering affair was a memorable, artistic achievement!
