What better place to hold the launch party celebrating The Diamond, a novel by Julie Baumgold, than at Graff Jewelers?

Henri Barguirdjian, Graff's president and CEO, and David Patrick Columbia, of newyorksocialdiary.com, hosted a stunning reception for the novelist at the Madison Avenue boutique. Beside Baumgold's literary jewel was a special collection of Graff diamonds flown in from Europe, which included a 40-ct. emerald-cut diamond ring and a necklace featuring over 140-ct. of yellow diamonds! The author, daughter of a diamond merchant, follows the history of the "finest diamond in the world," the 410-ct. stone known as the Régent diamond, from its discovery in India in 1701 to the French Royal Treasury at the Louvre, where this marvelous gem sits today.

One lucky guest got to leave with a sparkling "trinket" in her goody bag. Unfortunately, the Louvre isn't willing to give up theirs!
