Twinkle-toed stars and dance lovers alike enjoyed a VIP screening of director Robert Altman’s new esprit-de-corps film, The Company, then sashayed off to a bold-name After Party at A-list-haven Elaine’s. Prima ballerina and film co-producer Neve Campbell stood out at the fete and in the movie (which also stars Malcolm McDowell as a tough but visionary corps master). Altman’s documentary-style triumph makes audiences care about the challenges and sacrifices of the young performers in the Joffrey Ballet of Chicago. Other faces in the crowd: director Robert Altman and his wife, Kathryn; actor/director Tim Robbins; Chicago song-and-dance-man Richard Gere and his wife, Carrie Lowell. Talk about stepping up to the bar!
